“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV

We are at the start of a new year, turning the page from one season of our lives into a new season. I encourage you to reflect on 2021-the victories, the failures and missed opportunities, and learn from these things. Learn from 2021 and step into the new season God has set before you and for us as a church. 2021 was a season of positioning for us and now 2022 is a season of GO! To run harder than ever, to move forward at a greater pace than ever.

Many will not answer this call. Many will stay in a state of lukewarmness out of fear and doubt. This is a dangerous place to live-this comes from a lack of obedience to do what God is calling you to do. To come out of the place of complacency, it takes fixing your focus back on Jesus.

Philippians 3:13 tells us to not look to the past, but to press forward to what lies ahead. Don’t label your future by what you just went through. Better days are before you! The future is so much brighter than your past! So press forward!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.” Hebrews 12: 1-2

You have a particular race you are running and it has to do with your divine destiny that God has planned for you to fulfill. You are called by God and He created you specifically with gifts and skills so YOU could fulfill this call.

Hebrews tells us that we need to run with endurance-it’s staying power, not giving up. To remain steadfast in faith. Trials will come but you must continue to run the race. I urge you to run with more vigor and focus in these times.

Let your attitude be “I refuse to miss out on what God has for me! I will see the fulfillment of God’s call in this season of my life!”

In this season, lay down the things distracting you from God and the race He’s called you to.  Repent of your sins and live in pursuit of God. Don’t procrastinate in this season, it’s time to go!
