“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”- John 15:5

How are you living your life? Is God an acquaintance to you or are you living in fellowship with Him?  We cannot fully abide in Christ if we are choosing to treat Him as an acquaintance. Your relationship with God is not determined by God. It is determined by you.

The bible tells us that we can come boldly into God’s presence anytime we desire and as much as we want. We have full access to God. The divider that was once between us and God has been torn and we have full access to God, to dwell in His presence like we were created to do. In Exodus, Moses declared to the Lord that if God wasn’t with him, then Moses was not going to move. Moses understood the importance of God’s presence. We need to be like Moses and declare “I need your presence God!”

There is More in You

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Despite all of your flaws and shortcomings, God still has more for you. His plans have not changed for you. Your purpose has not changed. You find out what His plans are for you by spending time in His presence, by seeking after Him.

The world has gotten distracted from the presence of God. By our phones, tv, our busy lives. Our attention span has grown small. We must learn how to once again be present in God’s presence. Listen to the word of God. There is a difference between hearing and listening. Pay attention to the Word and give thoughtful attention to the message. Don’t let yourself become distracted. There is great power, victory and strength that comes when we follow God closely. God desires the real you. Not the perfect, Instagram filtered you. God is full of mercy and grace, waiting for you with love and forgiveness for you to come into His presence!
